How your chart guides the way you play, produce, and share sound.
This calculator shows how Human Design influences the people who perform, record, produce, engineer, or otherwise influence recorded or live music. Human Design is a system for describing how a person’s energy and decision-making work. The calculator translates it into the language of music, giving each part of a chart a musical name and a plain definition. You can see how your tendencies show up in a session: where your ideas start, how you commit to a project, how you work with others, and what throws you off.
Human Design is a system that maps a person’s energy and decision-making style from their birth date, time, and place. It was introduced in 1987 and blends ideas from astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, and the chakra system. A chart is built from nine centers, 64 gates, and 36 channels, which describe how a person takes in, processes, and expresses energy. It’s best treated as a framework for reflection and conversation, not as a scientific measurement.
Treat results as conversation prompts, not verdicts on talent or on how well people will work together. If a description doesn’t fit you, trust your own experience over the chart.
Choose Individual for one chart, or Compare to see how two or more people work together. Enter each birth date, time, and timezone. Results use musical names and definitions written for anyone who shapes a song: musicians, producers, and engineers.
Want to add a transit? Check Include transit before you calculate. A transit is where the planets are on a given day, laid over a birth chart. By default it uses right now, or use Set future/past session date of transit to pick a session date and time. It shows which gates and channels that sky adds, amplifies, or completes, and which open centers it temporarily defines. In Compare, one checkbox applies the transit to everyone in the group, and each pair also shows what the transit changes between them.
